I love exploring and sculpting in the worlds that Marc Miller and his partners got started.
Imagining these worlds, these spaces and the sophonts in them – in my mind’s eye smelling the fumes of a downport, tasting the greasy krill at a food kiosk where the only two things I understand is the rumble of my stomach and the symbol for the Imperial Credit – taking a short hop in these worlds, trading stories and credits and bullets with the beings I find there, and making all of this happen for my friends across the gaming table and beyond… I love that.
That is time well spent.
We use the term “Charted Space,” but really it’s barely charted at all. Let’s stretch our brains and our imaginations together and figure out what’s at the next downport.

In the Traveller RPG there’s a concept of MTU, or “My Traveller Universe.” This term describes how things are in any given Referee’s world, inspired by source material but flavored with their own special spin or taste in different ways. There’s an understanding that in this riff things might be just a little bit different there than in the OTU, the “Original Traveller Universe.”
This blog is where I develop my interpretation of Traveller, my own Traveller universe. I write new content, talk about running the game, showcase imagery I’ve found or created, and generally just nerd out.
I also give away some stuff I’ve written that’s semi-packed into neat little bundles, and overall I strive here at MTU to be a resource for the Traveller community.
